AZ413 Wheel balancing stand for static balancing

(for static balancing)

can balance grinding wheel till 1200 mm diameter

1. In order to acheive best results from your grinder, every grinding wheel installed on the machine must be balanced.
Periodic rebalancing of wheels is good practice and balance should be checked each time a wheel is reinstalled
on the machine.
2. Install the grinding wheel on a wheel center (blotters must be installed on both sides) and snug the nine cap screws.
Do not tighten the screws yet.
3. Mount the balancing arbor for grindingwheel.
4. Place the wheel and arbor combination on the balancing stand.
Loosen the nine cap screws so the wheel will settle downward on the wheel center then gradually torque them all (every other one) to 25 ft.lbs./3.5 Kg-m/34 Nm.
DO NOT rotate the wheel until all cap screws are not secure!
5. Remove the four balancing weights from the Wheel Center and let the wheel rotate to its rest position. Mark the 12:00 position on the wheel using a piece of chalk.
6. The 12:00 Position is the lightest part of the grinding wheel. Install two of the balance weights approximately on the horizontal centerline and then move up slightly.
If this movement was correct, the wheel will be balanced. If the chalk mark still comes to rest at 12:00, move each weight upward slightly again until balance is achieved.
If the chalk mark moves to the bottom 6:00 position, move the weights the opposite directions. If two weights are not adequate to achieve balance, use the additional two as well.
7. Install the grinding wheel on the machine and dress the wheel to clean up its grinding face and sides.
8. After dressing, remove the wheel recheck the wheel balance. Adjust weights as necessary.
9. DO NOT allow grinding coolant to run on the grinding wheel when it is not rotating.
This will cause the wheel to become saturated with coolant on the one side and the wheel be thrown out of the balance.
This condition can be corrected by running the wheel until the water has all been thrown out.
